McAree urges players to 'relax'


COLERAINE manager, Rodney McAree, believes the burden of expectation surrounding his players is beginning to affect performances on the pitch.

The Bannsiders were many people’s tips for the title this season after pushing eventual winners Crusaders all the way to the final day last season.

However, six draws from their opening nine league games has seen them drop behind early season pacesetters Glenavon who, incidentially, visit the Showgrounds this Saturday.

Manager McAree will run his eye over a number of injury concerns - including defenders Gareth McConaghie and Aaron Traynor - ahead of the visit of the Lurgan Blues.
