THE Chairman of Limavady United, Mark Clyde, has appealed for a co-ordinated community approach backing a proposed development at the club grounds.

Club representatives have met with local councillors and MLAs to examine how current facilities can be expanded to benefit both the club and the local community.

Explaining that the present facilities are unable to be utilised all year around due to wet and wintery conditions, Mark Clyde said:

“Our biggest goal is to redevelop the site to make the pitch into a 4G pitch and also to redevelop the actual buildings.

“Obviously this is a long-term plan and would happen in several stages, our first of which would be to change the pitch to a 4G.
