Magilligan mother becomes Age Concern Causeway’s Manager in challenging times

WITNESSING the cruel effects of Alzheimer's on her own mother has inspired Mandy Corr to work for a charity devoted to helping other families cope with caring for loved ones.

The mum-of-one, who lives in Magilligan, recently took up the challenging role of Manager at Age Concern Causeway.

Although based in Coleraine, the independent organisation also provides vital support for people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment across the borough.

Mandy told The Chronicle: “My mother suffered with Alzheimer’s from a very young age; as a family it was such a difficult time for us.
